Visiting from Scotland & popped in here for dinner. This has to be one of the best Indian restaurants we have visited. The decor is plush & eye-catching. Service was friendly, professional & attentive. We both had the Maaya Special Thali, which was outstanding in flavour, presentation & quantity. There is a 10% service charge, which is clearly pointed out on the menu. We had absolutely no hesitation with this being added due to the above. Highly recommend & definitely worth a visit if in the area. (Forgot pics of food as we were too busy eating!)

Maaya, Milton Keynes – 8/10 Food Highlights Korma: outstanding – the best I’ve had in years. Lamb curry: tender, full of flavour. Portions generous, table naan perfect for sharing and very tasty. Service & Experience Slow service despite only five tables. Floor dirty, cutlery unclean (quickly replaced). Lighting so dim I had to use my phone’s flash to read the menu. Food Disappointments Butter chicken arrived cold, took 20 minutes to reheat, and wasn’t even made fresh – just microwaved, so it didn’t match the rest of the meal. Overall Some excellent dishes, but speed, cleanliness, and food handling need big improvements.

Good service provided by staff. A very nice atmosphere. King prawns were lovely! The curries weren't very spicy, maybe that's because I'm used to the heat.

Here's A Mixed Bag of Culinary Delights and Service Woes My main course was absolutely delicious, a real highlight of the evening. However, the dining experience for the rest of my party got off to a rocky start when their appetizers arrived cold. This unfortunately stemmed from a significant service oversight: my order was forgotten entirely, causing my food to be significantly delayed. Overall, the service felt quite chaotic. There was a noticeable lack of attention at our table, and we repeatedly had to exert effort to flag down staff just to order drinks. While the restaurant was undeniably busy, it felt like the team struggled to manage the volume effectively, detracting from what could have been a truly enjoyable meal for everyone.
